On January 26, 2015 my friends and I received horrible news. One of my best friends from high school passed away in his sleep while at school in Maryland. No words can express the remorse I felt and the pain all of us are still feeling. His name was Jeremy and he was the most kind, thoughtful, loving, and humble man I've ever met. I can honestly say that everyone that met him could tell he was genuinely a "good guy."
It hurts me so much to see some of my best guy friends in so much pain and not being able to do anything to help. Luckily we all have strong testimonies in the gospel and the power of prayer. I know that Jeremy is with Heavenly Father and watching out for each and everyone he cared about. It's hard to think about not being able to see him over breaks or at reunions, but I know I will see him again and thats the best feeling. It's going to take a long time, but I know each day gets easier. I just pray that his family finds happiness and strength through this tragic time.
RIP Jeremy Huber
Here is a link to the John Hopkins University website that talks a little about Jeremy and his accomplishments.

All about me
This blog is all about me, my conversion story and my experience at Brigham Young University. Heres a little about me:
-I was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV
-I have one sister who is three years older then me
-I was a cheerleader for over 10 years and now coach
-My favorite brand is Tory Burch
-I love the beach but equally enjoy the mountains
-Last year I went sky diving for the first time and LOVED IT!
-Lastly my dream pet is a horse
Being a new freshman on BYU's campus is very intimidating to say the least. Some of the students here were raised to come to BYU and I'm the complete opposite. I was born in a catholic family with parents who wanted me to go to school in the south. They were shocked to say the least when I decided to move to Provo, Utah and attend an LDS university. I am so happy to be here though and I'm grateful that all my hard worked payed off prior to being accepted into BYU. I know that my achievements will only continue as I further my education here. Every student on this campus deserves to be here and I am so excited for my next 4 years in this beautiful environment.
